Built By Players For The Next Generation

Shoreline Elite Lacrosse was founded with a clear purpose: to help good players become great players through experienced coaching, genuine mentorship, and a competitive environment centered on measurable development.
Founder, Director, and Head Coach Max Manware understands the path because he continues to walk it himself. As a current Division I defenseman at Sacred Heart University, Max brings current knowledge, firsthand playing experience, and an understanding of what athletes must do to compete at the next level.
Max's lacrosse journey began in fourth grade through his local Parks and Recreation program. As the first person in his family to play the sport, he relied on coaches and mentors who took a genuine interest in his progress. Their support helped him develop from a young player discovering the game into a Division I athlete. That experience shaped his belief that the best coaches do more than teach skills — they invest in the player.
After fighting through three torn ACLs, Max also knows the grind. He understands that talent alone is not enough. Progress requires discipline, resilience, accountability, intelligent preparation, and a support system that continues to believe in the athlete through every challenge.
That same sense of support is central to the Shoreline Elite vision. Max comes from a large, loyal, and close-knit family that stood behind him throughout his journey. He wants Shoreline Elite to provide players and families with that same feeling of connection, shared purpose, and genuine investment in one another.
After his family relocated from Cheshire to Branford, Max recognized a unique opportunity to combine his love of lacrosse, his coaching experience, and the finance degree he expects to earn from Sacred Heart University in December 2026. Cheshire will always hold a special place in his story, but the move to Branford and the opportunity to create something distinctive for athletes along the Connecticut shoreline felt like the stars were aligning.
Shoreline Elite is beginning with Max's direct leadership and coaching. As the organization grows, his vision is to carefully build a staff of knowledgeable and competitive coaches who are actively connected to the game and understand the path their players hope to pursue.
Shoreline Elite is building a movement centered on development, accountability, brotherhood, family, and results. Players are invited into a program that will challenge them, support them, and remain genuinely invested in the journey ahead.
Culture Over Everything
We believe great athletes are built in great environments. Shoreline Elite is a family-first club where development happens on and off the field — through accountability, mentorship, and a culture that pushes every player to be their best without cutting corners. This is what club lacrosse should feel like.

College Players as Coaches
Our staff is hand-picked from the best college programs. They don't just coach the game — they're living it right now, teaching techniques and strategies as the sport evolves in real time.
Proven Development Framework
A structured, proven approach to player development. Individual skill plans, position-specific coaching, and college-level training intensity at every level — designed to take athletes from where they are to where they want to be.
Family. Culture. Legacy.
We're building a club that lasts for decades — a family-oriented culture where athletes grow together, parents are partners, and the Shoreline name stands for something real. Every decision we make is about the long term.
Led by Athletes Who Live the Game
Our leadership is on the field — not in an office. Every coach at Shoreline Elite is a current or recent college player who understands the game as it's played today. No clipboard warriors. No outdated drills. Just real coaching from athletes in the arena.

Coached by Athletes Who Are Still in the Game
Our coaches are current college players — athletes who are living the game right now. The rules, the speed, the recruiting landscape — they know it because they're in it. That's the kind of insight that makes a difference in a young player's development.

Real-Time Game Knowledge
Lacrosse is evolving fast — new rules, faster pace, different schemes. Our coaches teach what works today, drawn from their experience at the college level right now.
Mentorship That Matters
A 20-year-old coach isn't just a coach — they're a mentor who was in your athlete's shoes three years ago. They know the path because they just walked it.
Recruiting Insight From the Inside
Our coaches know what college programs look for because they're in those programs. They teach the skills, habits, and mentality that college coaches actually recruit.
Intensity That's Contagious
There's a different energy when you're learning from athletes at the top of their game. It raises the standard for every drill, every rep, every practice.
